Salwar
kameez was introduced in Indian culture with the Muslim influence centuries
ago. However, it has now become an immense part of the Indian culture and has
blended so well with Indian image that a large number of masses all around the
world consider it as the Indian attire. Young girls as well as women almost in
every part of the country wear it. Even abroad, several women who love to have
a touch of the Indian culture prefer to wear salwar kameez.
Salwar
kameez consists of the kurta, which can be long, or short, salwar, which is
worn below kurta and a dupatta worn over the head, shoulders or just allowed to
hang on one shoulder. The dupatta plays an important role in the salwar kameez

available mostly in simple style but the person wearing them can get them laced
up and embroidered as per desire. Before buying the salwar kameez, do keep in
mind what kind of dupatta you want to wear with it.
